Here are a few tips to help you with your game:

Let the dealer bust

If the dealer’s visible card is a 4, a 5 or a 6, do not hit, except maybe if you have a soft hand. You do not want to put yourself in a situation where you can yourself bust, since the dealer’s hand is likely to bust. This is the kind of situation where you might want to consider doubling your bet, or splitting your hand if you can.

Hard hands

If you have a hard 17, do not hit as your chances to bust are too high.

Split the Aces and the 8s, but not the 10s or the 6s

An Ace by itself is strong, but two Aces are only worth 12. Split them and give yourself the chance to have two 21s. Two 8s are worth 16. This is the worst hand! If you split, you can get two 18s, hands that are strong enough (and you also avoid the risk of hitting with 16, which is extremely risky).

A 10 is good for a hand, but a 20 is very strong. Do not take the risk of separating your 10s. As for the 6, it is the worst card ever. If you have two of them, do not take the risk of splitting them and end up with the problem in two of your hands.
